After more than a year of rumors, Blackberry has finally launched an Android and iPhone compatible version of BBM. Before iphones took over our lives, most bloggers in Nigeria actually relied heavily on BBM to get up breaking new stories and songs. The new versions will be 100% free but users have to sign up first and went in a queue for BB to officially add you.

Here’s what to do, according to BlackBerry’s blog post:
- Download BBM – the easiest way is to visit BBM.com from your Android or iPhone browser
- Once you install the app, open it, and enter your email address to hold your spot in line
- We will email you as soon as you reach the front of the line and can start using BBM
